from everything I've come across so far, they're saying this movie follows the books...which means ol' man of the bat, is getting his back broken at the end. not sure if he just gets paralyzed or killed...still highly anticipating this once it gets to the theaters.

Yeah, I don't know how they are going to end the trilogy on a downer note, but the comic storyline was awesome (SPOILER in the comics he recovers from the broken back, but that would not be much of a conclusion here.)
