George Webb Restaurants is once again this year giving baseball fans something extra to cheer about. Every game the Brew Crew scores five or more runs, win or lose, fans get six delicious hamburgers for just five dollars until midnight the following day at all George Webb Restaurants.

This special applies only to the regular season, not spring training. The Brewers season opener is this Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds. The Brewers play the Atlanta Braves Monday, April 4 for its home opener at Miller Park.

In order to make things even more interesting this baseball season, George Webb’s is once again predicting the Brew Crew will win 12 games in a row. George Webb’s makes this prediction ever year and has a good feeling it will happen again this year. In 1987, when the prediction came through, George Webb’s celebrated by serving nearly 170,000 free hamburgers.

To meet the demand in 1987, George Webb:

    * Ordered more than 25,000 pounds of ground beef and 173,000 hamburger buns
    * Used 573 gallons of ketchup and 286 gallons of brown mustard
    * Topped the burgers with 2,868 pounds of onions and 367,180 slices of pickles

You can follow the 12 game tracker here,

George Webb’s was founded in 1948, with it’s first location being the corner of Ogden and Van Buren streets in Milwaukee. There are now 36 locations throughout Milwaukee, Appleton, Brookfield, Burlington, Cedarburg, Franklin, Germantown, Greenfield, Hales Corners, Hartford, Kenosha, Menomonee Falls, New Berlin, Oconomowoc, Peshtigo, Racine, South Milwaukee, Sussex, Waukesha, Wauwatosa, West Allis and West Bend.

when the burgers are roughly 84cents a piece, you're not going to be expecting high end quality.  I'd take them over any fast food burgers if it was my only choice.

Kinda - used to go there all the time in college when it was across the street from our work  - but once again if my minds serves me right their burgers were sub par as well.

Webb's is a plain dry burger on a processed bun right?
