I know..you keep saying don't tell that to Julian.  but I'm telling you, like it or not, whether on paper it makes sense or not, the area from Pittsburg to Beecher street, from the river to 1st/KK, is going to be the next focused area in the city for the 3-6yr future....stores, housing, business, gas stations, restaurants, etc...shrugs.

I know, and I agree, but he'll argue you to the death that you are wrong and investing into that area is the worst idea.

then you'll get those fools who bought a condo across a bar/club complaining of noise at 10pm.

always baffles me.  you move somewhere, be it above..next door..or across the street, from a business (or multiple businesses).  you know they're there prior to renting/owning....but yet, you make complaints daily about any possible noise.  I understand if you move somewhere peaceful, and a business wants to come into the neighborhood and you're against it due to traffic, noise, or the crowds it will be bringing...you have fair say in the council meetings to refuse them moving in.  but complaints on an establishment there before you moved in is silly.

the area that baffles me the most is 5th Ward / Walkers Point.  they won't let a strip club come into their area, because of the supposed crime it brings (when in reality, they police their own and make sure shit doesn't happen outside of the club)...but yet they'll keep allowing establishments like Fuego, Envy, Texture, Sugar, La Perla Tequila Bar, etc. to renew their liquor licenses even tho every possible thing that can go wrong with those establishments in the neighborhood does, and allow an establishment called "lo cash" to move into the area.  weird.fucking.ppl.

Honestly, can't say I'm surprised after having an interview there some time back. Just from talking to them, they just had all they're priorities wrong from start to finish.
