http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/121172779.htmlMilwaukee aldermen voted Tuesday to shut down a south side nightclub.
Police opposed renewing the liquor and nightclub licenses of the Asian Moon, 3419 W. Forest Home Ave., after repeated fights, one of which ended in a shooting outside the establishment.
The nightclub's attorney, Brian Randall, asked aldermen to impose a lesser penalty. But Ald. Jim Bohl, chairman of the Common Council's Licenses Committee, and Ald. Bob Donovan, who represents the neighborhood, said three previous suspensions in four years had not remedied the problems. Ald. Robert Puente lost, 10-5, in a bid to suspend the Moon's tavern license for 60 days and yank its nightclub license.
